Workshop and Trainings

1. A workshop on Partada Primary Education Task Force meet was organized on 25-11-2005 at Partada GP headquarter with an objective of exploring the alternative profile for functioning of the schools in Partada GP to enroll the dropout and non-schooling children especially girl children and disable children into the schools involving and capacitating the stakeholders.

2. A workshop on Right to Information was organized on 13-02-2006 at ITDA Conference Hall, Paralakhemundi to create wider sensitization among the general public on the historical Act with a view to facilitate for effective implementation of the Act.

4. A 3 days training program was organised for Education Volunteers at Tohojung Village of Tarangada Gram Panchayat of Gumma Block imparting them the aims and objectives of Orissa Sikshya Abhijaan and strategy to improve the education system with active involvement of community, PRI members and Govt. officials. Emphasis was laid on infrastructure development, proper education materials, care and management of school environment, MDM and other basic needs for proper functioning of schools.

6. A training program was organized on 17-03-2006 at Paralakhemundi to Traditional Birth Attendants to create awareness on precautionary measures and proper natal care. The trained TBAs are conducting deliveries and taking care of mothers and infant in the operational areas of CCD. The training program was conducted to capacitate and empower the TBAs for better contribution in health sector. Dr. Satyanarayana Das, ADMO participated from District Hospital, as resoruce person.

7. A State level Interface workshop on PTD was held at Paralakhemundi on 11th and 12th March'05. Farmers have shared their experiences very openly with scientist during the workshop on different crops. They have achieved great success. Few PRI members have also participated in the workshop. This workshop has helped the farmers to improve their self-confidence.

8 .On 4th June'05, a dialogue was held with PTD coordinator on the methodology for the training to the master farmers and action plan was prepared. Apart from four experiments taken in the Beneriguda and Kurladaguda villages, one experiment was very successful and it is being taken as a package for the master farmers for paddy. Mr. Mans, Mr. Vamsi, Ms. Shalini and Mr. Ram Prasad PAtro, JAO, were present on the day.

9. On 10th and 11th June'05, training program was organized to the master farmers at Kurladaguda and Beneriguda villages. 4 female and 8 male master farmers were present. PTD coordinator and JAO have facilitated the program. Farmers have understood on nursery management and selection of seeds.

10. Gender analysis training program was organized from 25th - 27th June'05. Mr. P.K.Jose was the resource person. Gender analysis was done in Pulikota Dangu village of Jhammi GP, Gumma Block of Action Aid Project Area. 2 gender trainings program were organized by ISNRMPO at Paralakhemundi facilitated by Mr. Rama Krishna (RK). 5 staff members were trained from the organization.
