Process initiated by CCD

Sensitization: Sensitization programme on RCH components to the community leaders, PRI members, mothers, fathers, adolescents and eligible couple are being conducted in regular basis. Health component is being discussed in the SHGs and Village meetings.

Promotion of Nutritious plant: CCD has promoted nutritious plan like Papaya, Banana, drumstick and other vegetables as kitchen gardening. So far, 40 percent households have kitchen gardens.

Routine Immunization: Immunization is a major area where it is discussed and reviewed in all the meetings. The programme is being done in collaboration of health departments.

Health volunteer/change agents: health volunteers are promoted in all the villages for liasoning with the health department, to promote best practices in respect to mother and childcare and to disseminate the information regarding the health and govt. facilities.

Drinking water: Drinking water facilities are ensured through tube wells, open wells and utilizing the perennial sources. Community mobilized tube wells and open wells from the govt. they are also taking care of it. In 37 hilltop tribal villages, CCD has ensured drinking water through the gravitation flow.

Collaborative actions: CCD is working with ICDS department in five blocks to strengthen the service delivery system.HIV/AIDS: sensitization is being given to community leaders, women, PRI members, school teachers, adolescents and mainly to the migrants worker on prevention of HIV/AIDS and its prevention. Information education communication materials are published in local and tribal language on HIV/AIDS, ICDS, Malaria, Mother and child care etc.
